Marshmellows in December!

This week has been crazy with all of the rumours around the cut off date. We are almost certain that December 19, 2005 will be in so we are almost ready to celebrate. I was busy in our hometown visiting family while DH was toiling away at work...Too much time would have been on my hands at home worrying when the referrals would arrive, lol. I took JJ to this great place that has a few million lights and all kinds of things to amaze little ones. We topped off the evening with Marshmallows in December. What was even better was that she shared it with one of her special friends, A and his mom who found this great place!! Thanks so much!

Christmas is over Let the Referrals begin!!!

Rumours are starting that referrals are set to come early in the New Year!! Hopefully we will hear early and travel quickly after. Here's to all fellow Group 253 ers fro speedy referrals! We are all looking forward to seeing our little ones faces soon!!

Merry Christmas!

Just a quick post to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! It would seem that Group 253 will receive their Christmas wish this year just a week or so later! Rumours are a flyin' that referrals are on there way and include up to the 20th! All I know is that in past years that the referrals were at CB when they arrived at their offices after the Christmas break so get ready folks!!

We have hit the 2 year mark

Hard to believe that we are now 2 years waiting for our precious referral. Also hard to believe it was only supposed to be 7 months. Oh well all that will be behind us in January when we see our little faces for the 1st time!! Here's to January, and as Diane would say...YIPPPEEEEE!!!!!!!

Well it's about time!

We received an email today from Jenna R regarding our referrals see below...YAHOOOO!!! Finally good news. It will be a great way to ring in the New Year and coincidently will be exactly 4 years from when we erceived Jenna's referral...How cool is that!

As you all know, we are expecting referrals for the Ontario families in group
253 to arrive in early January, and hoping the CCAA will be able to match the
out of province families! If you have not started the Immigration Sponsorship
application please do so IMMEDIATELY!!!

Please remember we will require a minimum of 6 hours to review, copy and scan
the referral before we can call families. We try and call families as soon as
we can, so please rest assured we are working hard to get them done. If you
have any updated email addresses or phone numbers, please send them to me via
email.

Please note that for families living outside of Ontario, your referral will
be sent directly to your Province. By law, we cannot provide any referral
information to you; it must come from your Provincial Government.

Chia Moua is your Referral and Travel Coordinator; she will assist you once
you receive your referral. She can be reached at chiamoua@childrensbridge.com
or 613-226-2112 Ext 7. We do not yet have a tentative travel date, we will
have to wait and see when they arrive. We will provide you with more
information regarding meetings and travel when we contact you with the
referral information.

Insider information!!!

Well Detective Mahoney has been at it again. Sources tell me that she and a certain NB adoption official who we will call Mr. X had a long conversation today. She really tried to nail Mr. X down on when referrals would arrive, our EXACT LID and well anything and everything. My source tells me that Detective Mahoney received all the answers she was looking for and left Mr. X in tears, well giggles actually! :)

What a difference a year makes!

The last 2 years JJ barely looked at Santa. Actually terrified would be a more accurate description of how she felt. Last year she sat for a second and then leaped off of his lap. This year....Well I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

Counting down the Days.

We are anxiously awaiting the return of our friends Kevin and Kathy from China. They will be returning with their beautiful daughter A. It is a great prelude to our trip. We will have answers to all that has changed since 2004 and insider information. They are arriving Thursday and I am just counting the sleeps like I did when I was younger and waiting for Christmas!

Christmas Pictures!

Well tonight we decided to take JJ's pictures for Christmas. We knew we should have waited because she really wasn't in the mood but we had put it off long enough. Soo...we shot the good, the bad and while she could never be ugly lets say the FUNNY!!

By the end of the night it was time to kiss and make up....and have a
frozen yougurt tube...she thinks its a Mr. Freeze so everyone is happy!

What a Day!!

Ever have one of those days that just is bad from the start. Well today was one of those days. I must have had at least a dozen people ask me when I was travelling. Well I just didn't have any bright answers today I kinda felt like this picture ...believe me, She is having a bad day!
