Travel Dates

Well I am a little behind with my posting. I have been sorting through MOUNTAINS of baby clothes to get Sophia's suitcase packed and I finally have my "dry run" case all packed. Not sure if it will stay that way, highly doubtful, but at least I can fit all I want to take with me :). We received our Travel Dates and will be departing Toronto on March the 7th and landing back on Canadian soil with Sophia on March 20, 2008!! Just fantastic!! We have just 44 more sleeps to go. I have spent the best part of today painting a new bath for Sophia and Jenna...Just can't wait to see the finished project. I will post pictures when I am done for you D, lol.

Shopping and Packing!!!

Well it has finally settled in that we are going to CHINA!!! We met with members of our group this past weekend and I am not sure if we left anything in the stores! We shopped, we ate and we talked!! I never really met anyone who could talk more than me but boy did I ever meet my matches this weekend, and surprisingly it wasn't just the women either. We had a great time and would like to thank Joe & Dianne, Lisa & Andrew and Marie France & Craig for a great weekend. Can't wait to reunite in China!

This is all the gang at Montana's AND since Dianne threatened Mike that he would wear the horns he went out of his way to prove that it WASN"T his b-day (even showed his licence) The waitress decided to give him a "non b-day" dance since he thought he was so SMART!

Okay, so did I say I was EXCITED!!!!!

Okay, I was just testing everyone yesterday to see if they were on the ball!! Actually I was so sure we would see our little Sophia's face today but, alas it wasn't in the cards. However Chia at CB told me late this afternoon that translation would be completed by days end or tomorrow morning. This means that we SHOULD have our file no later than tomorrow afternoon. Now I KNOW that patience is a virtue but I am not feeling to virtuous at the moment. Just one more do-do as JJ would say!! Maybe if I just close my eyes it will be Tuesday when I open 'em....NOPE didn't work!! Ohh well...Patience is a virtue will be my mantra until I have that little picture in my hands! Also Congrats to Ontario families whose MIA files landed at CB today!

I'M SO EXCITED!!!

It's made for such a long weekend awaiting our referral. We are not sure if it will be at days end Monday or on Tuesday. Hard to believe our 2 year + wait is at an end. First referrals came out last Monday so it really has been an exercise of patience but it will all be worth it in the end when we see our little ones face for the first time!

Just a quick note to say thanks to all who are watching this saga unfold...It really is exciting isn't it!! We look forward to seeing every ones comments and it helps us pass these long days until the wonderful news is presented to us and we see our little ones face for the first time. Those who have done this before can remember what that feeling is all about!! I will Post the news as soon as we have it and once again "thanks folks"!!

Referrals arrive in NB!!

Well, after a very anxious day the stork found his way to NB. While we have no baby information we have been told that the files for NB families arrived safely this afternoon and we will have our lovely babies pictures next week after our file has been translated!!! To quote my loving husband..."HAPPY HAPPY, JOY JOY"!!!

Now if the CCAA can track the Ontario familie's files we will all have our wonderful news together!! Given who the members of our group are (we are all crazy, lol) this latest turn of events really doesn't surprise me!! Keeping my fingers, and well, EVERYTHING crossed that Ontario referrals arrive on MONDAY!!!!

Referrals are MIA!!!

Well it sure is a great story to tell the kids but not o much fun to be living right now. It appears that the referrals that were to be sent to our agencies for Group 253 were sent to an agency "somewhere" in the US of A. CCAA is tracking the package to see exactly where it might be!! This has been quite a ride but we are at the tail end and what a ride it has been!! Stay tuned to see what develops!!!

It's taking a long time!

Our referrals have yet to arrive at the Children's Bridge office. Probable cause is the major snow storms that have been hitting all over Canada. They will probably arrive at CB tomorrow and we will keep our fingers crossed that the NB office receives them as well. Ontario families will probably have their pictures tomorrow and hopefully we will see our little ones Monday or Tuesday...YAHOO!! I just hope that I don't look like this by the time we get to China! LOL.

IT IS OFFICIAL!!!!

Well the official word is that we are in!!! We are still awaiting information from our agency but hopefully today is THE DAY!!!! Whooohooooo!!!! AND a great BIG SQUEEEEEEEEE!!! LOL Lets get this party started.

WORKING HARD??? I'm not!!!

Ok, so this had better be the person taking care of our files. If they work half as fast as this lady we should hear any minute now....HMMMMM now why is that phone not ringing??? Do you think the courier got there yet??? Anything is possible. I am sending out GREAT BIG ((((HUGS)))) to all of my fellow group members that word comes soon!!!

SNOWED IN!!!

Well it's official the gods are working against us!!! Children's Bridge is awaiting referrals and I thought "Uncle Bill" might have ours in NB but as our luck would have it a massive snow storm has hit Fredericton and well the office is CLOSED!!!! I guess we will need to stay tuned to see what tomorrow begins...At this rate I will look like this old cranky lady by weeks end!!!

Anxiously waiting!

We were expecting to have referrals today but it would seem that they have not yet made their way to Children's Bridge yet. Hopefully they will arrive via courier today and we will at least sleep well knowing that they arrived!!

Yesterday was very exciting for us. We heard that referrals arrived all over the country with the Log in date of 12-19-05....AND THAT'S OUR DATE!!!! We are so happy and excited just knowing that we will see our little ones picture within the next week....I just don't know how we will be able to sit and wait!!!! Happy New Years, here's to a great 2008!!
